Earth Images Foundation Documentary Studio
Earth Images Foundation is a documetary studio that specializes in Geology content. They have currently produced over 25 films and are currently producing a television program broadcast on PBS.
I chose type to reflect the academic attitude the studio has towards it’s subject matter.
I designed a brand identity for them in 2023. It includes an audience and history to inform it’s identity, chosen type, logo and wordmark, colors, and some merchendise.
The brand colors are derived from different types of rocks and minerals. Serpentine forms when tectonic plate movements cause water to seep into and chemically change rocks deep in the earths crust!
I recommended logo use with the brand’s color scheme. I also provided guidelines for ways not to style and change the logo.
The merch is intended to reflect the field work and paraphernalia of a geologist, with topographic map pattern bucket hats and logo pins.
I coded a site for the studio starting in 2018 and have since redesigned it to fit the current brand.
